John De Santis, Chairman and CEO, HyTrust, Inc.
John De Santis has over 30 years of international and US based experience at venture-backed technology start-ups as well as large global public companies in the telecom and IT fields. Most recently, Mr. De Santis was VP, Cloud Services for VMware. He joined VMware after being Chairman and CEO of TriCipher, a software security infrastructure company acquired by VMware in 2010. He led TriCipher’s transformation from a specialized niche provider of secure authentication solutions to the leading innovator in cloud based identity services for web application and SaaS access management.

Prior to TriCipher, Mr. De Santis served as CEO of enterprise security software company, Sygate Technologies, from 2000 until its acquisition by Symantec in 2005. Sygate's innovations continue to provide the foundational technology for Symantec's billion dollar Endpoint Protection business. Recently, he also served on the boards of two early stage enterprise security software companies: Tablus (acquired by RSA) and Applied Identity (acquired by Citrix). Prior to joining Sygate, he was a public company officer and SVP for Network Computing Devices (a leading thin client manufacturer), where he was responsible for all worldwide sales, marketing, and service operations. Prior to NCD, he was with Cincinnati Bell Information Systems (now Convergys Corporation) where he was Vice President, European Operations, responsible for delivering operational support systems and business process re-engineering to European telecommunication service providers. When he was 28 years old, he co-founded an optical fiber networking start up which built the first commercial application of optical channel networking for IBM mainframes.

Mr. De Santis earned an AB in Philosophy from Fairfield University and completed the Stanford University Executive Institute Program for Management of High-Tech Companies.

Daniel J. Deeney, Partner, New Venture Partners
Daniel J. Deeney, Partner, was a founder of New Venture Partners and a member of the core team since 2000. Dan originally focused on the financial management of the investment funds and worked with portfolio companies on special projects. In his current role, he evaluates new investment opportunities from corporate research labs and business units of corporate technology companies.

Before joining the Lucent New Ventures Group, Mr. Deeney managed the corporate finance group at Venator Group, a Fortune 500 consumer goods company, where he worked on acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to Venator, he managed the financial analysis and planning group at Mobilemedia Communications, a wireless network operator spun-out from AT&T/SBC, where he played a key financial role in the firm’s IPO. He also worked as an accountant for Bank of America focused on commercial lending and credit analysis.

He holds a BS in Finance from San Diego State University; an MBA from Pepperdine University; a MS in Management of Technology from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Don Dixon, Senior Managing Director, Trident Capital
Don Dixon is a co-founder of Trident Capital and has been a Managing Director since 1993. From 1988 to 1993, Mr. Dixon was Co-President of Partech International, a venture capital firm associated with Banque Paribas. From 1983 to 1988, he was a Managing Director of Alex. Brown & Sons. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dixon was a Vice President of Morgan Stanley & Co. and a Senior Account Officer at Citibank, N.A. His current directorships include Advanced Payment Solutions, Clarus Systems, Continuent, Merchant e-Solutions, Royalty Share, Inc., Qualys, and Transware. Previously, he served as a Director of the following public companies: Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS); BankAmerica Merchant Services, Inc. Kenneth A. Minihan, Lt. General (Ret) USAF, Managing Director, Paladin Capital Group
General Kenneth Minihan is a Managing Director of Paladin where he is focused on the development and implementation of new investment opportunities for Paladin's Homeland Security Fund. Prior to joining Paladin, Lt. General Minihan was the 14th Director of the National Security Agency (NSA)/Central Security Service. While at the NSA, he was instrumental in the definition and implementation of the National Information Assurance Program.

During his military service, Lt. General Minihan developed extensive experience in making new technologies operational and implementing leading edge services and products in a competitive environment where lives were often at risk. During the last 20 years of the Cold War and the transition to the Information Age, he was instrumental in the definition and selection of technology solutions to solve many difficult national security information needs. Throughout that time, Lt. General Minihan helped set the performance standards for information enterprise operations.

Lt. General Minihan was the most recent Chairman and President of the Security Affairs Support Association, which focuses on shared government and industry national intelligence and technology challenges. He also is a member of the Air Force Association, the National Military Intelligence Association, and other national organizations. He has substantial experience in capital raising, enterprise operations, business development and business readiness assurance. He devotes considerable attention to and consults on national security affairs.

Lt. General Minihan has a BA from Florida State University, a MA from the Naval Postgraduate School, and has completed executive development programs at the University of Illinois and Harvard University. Among his awards and decorations are the National Security Medal, the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Bronze Star, the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, and the Legion of Merit.

Lt. General Minihan represents Paladin on the boards of directors of Arxan Technologies, ClearCube Technology, GlassHouse Technologies, and Nexidia.

James Mobley, President & Chief Executive Officer, Neohapsis
James Mobley is a proven corporate and early stage executive with more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry. As President and CEO of Neohapsis, James is responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the company. Under his leadership, Neohapsis has grown from a small Midwestern security consultancy to become an international risk management product and services company. Prior to Neohapsis, James was President and Chief Executive Officer of @stake, Inc., an industry leading international security consulting and products company. Under his leadership, the company’s client base and revenue grew significantly over four years, leading to its acquisition by Symantec (SYMC) Corporation in 2004. At Symantec, as Vice President, he led the Professional Services organization in the Americas.

Other prior experience includes President and CEO of Intrusic Corporation, an early stage security software pioneer in internal threat intelligence, executive leadership roles in Fortune 100 Companies including Vice President of Compaq’s (HP) $1 billion North America Professional Services sales organization, Vice President & General Manager of Digital Equipment’s (HP) $400 million Southeast and Central Region and Business Unit Executive of IBM's $200 million D/FW business unit. James has been recognized nationally for his leadership and sales accomplishments in both global enterprises and early stage companies.

He is a graduate of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Peter Pace, General (Ret) USMC
General Pace retired from active duty in the United States Marine Corps in 2007, after more than 40 years of service. He was sworn in as the sixteenth Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in September, 2005. In this capacity, he served as the principal military advisor to the President, the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council, and the Homeland Security Council. Prior to becoming Chairman, he served as Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. General Pace holds the distinction of being the first Marine to have served both these positions.

General Pace is a 1967 graduate of the United States Naval Academy; he holds an MBA from George Washington University and attended Harvard University for the Senior Executives in National and International Security program. The General is also a graduate of the Infantry Officers' Advanced Course at Fort Benning, GA; the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, in Quantico, VA; and the National War College, at Ft. McNair, Washington, DC.

Alberto Yépez, Managing Director, Trident Capital — Chairman of the Board
J. Alberto Yépez is a Managing Director focusing on Software, IT Security, and mobile investments. Prior to Joining Trident, Mr. Yépez was Vice President of Identity Management and Security at Oracle. He joined Oracle through the acquisition of Thor Technologies, Inc. a Trident portfolio company that was a leading provider of identity management solutions. Mr. Yépez served as Chairman, President and CEO of Thor Technologies, leading it from the pre-revenue stage to rapid growth and global expansion, with a customer base that included many of the premier companies in financial services, telecommunications and manufacturing markets. Prior to Thor Technologies, in his more than 25-year career building successful global businesses in enterprise security and infrastructure software, he was entrepreneur-in-residence at Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm.

Mr. Yépez was co-CEO and a member of the board of directors of Entrust, Inc., a leading provider of information security solutions, which he joined after the successful merger of enCommerce, Inc., a leading provider of access management solutions. He co-founded and was chairman and CEO of enCommerce from its inception. In addition, he held senior management positions at Apple Computer and several other Silicon Valley-based start-ups.

Mr. Yépez serves on the board of Solera Networks, Qualys, PocketGear, HyTrust, and AirTight Networks. He is also Chairman of the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) and is active on a number of diversity organizations. Mr. Yépez attended the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electronic Physics from the University of San Francisco. He also attended the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Lima, Perú.
